NU Street plans ERP solutions for machine shop

NU Street Technologies Private Limited, a Chennai-based company, plans to come out with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for the machine shop vertical, according to its General Manager, Vijayasarathi M. Kalle.

He told The Hindu here that the company had ERP solutions for specific verticals such as forging, textile spinning and healthcare.

The one for machine shop would be launched in July.

Mr. Kalle said the company had studied the use of ERP solutions in about 100 textile mills before launching the product (NU Spin) for the mills. It was found that most of the mills with over 15,000 spindles had some sort of Information Technology application. However, the benefits were not realised fully.

“The fruit of ERP is the possibility to take key decisions based on certain critical inputs.” Hence, the company had come out with business manager concept that was geared towards the Managing Director of the mill.

The three-year-old company had 17 customers.

It would start marketing through seller meets and partners. It was also making the business manager available for textile mills on cloud computing, he said.
