The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Coimbatore, and Young Indians have brought out a booklet on Coimbatore.
The booklet called “48 hours in Coimbatore” will be of use to the participants of the World Classical Tamil Conference that will be held here from June 23 to 27.
The booklet gives an idea of the places to visit in and around the city and the eateries here. Small write-ups about the places of interest for tourists, photos and the ideal time to visit these places are given in the booklet.
Nearly 5,000 copies have been printed in English and Tamil and these will be given to the government.
“These pamphlets will be handed over to the Government of Tamil Nadu for distribution to the participants and delegates. It will also be distributed in hotels, corporate houses and retail establishments,” according to Ravi Sam, the Convenor of the District Development Initiative of the CII here.
Chairman of the CII, Coimbatore Zone, J. Balamurugan, said the objective of the booklet was to guide the visitors interested in touring the city.
