India's TNAU in global top 10 biotech list

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has been ranked sixth among the top 200 public biotech institutes in India by Biospectrum magazine.
The achievement was mae due to the services rendered by scientists, reseach scholars and students of Centre for Plant Molecular Biology, besides the financial support of different funding agencies especially the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, TNAU vice-chancellor, Dr Murugesa Bhoopathi said.
Biospectrum, a national biotech business monthly magazine, has conducted Nation-wide extensive survey covering 200 biotech institutes based on various parameters, including faculty, infrastructure, industry-interaction and placement of students, Bhoopathi said.
