Boys, girls get opportunity to learn Ps and Qs

Boys and girls had an opportunity to learn their Ps and Qs at a programme the ‘Col's Calibre' conducted here recently.

A release says Director of the institute P. Jeyaraj handled sessions on methods of greeting, introducing and etiquette.

“When it comes to introducing, people shy away and do not exactly know the etiquette. If there's a lady and gentleman, the question, ‘Who is to be introduced to whom', causes confusion in the minds of people,” the release says and adds that the programme addressed such issues.

‘Call on'

The programme also covered the ‘call on' formalities. “Armed forces follow to date the right etiquette for calling on. It is encouraged in those institutions, while most people consider calling on a burden in the civil society,” the release says. It also included dining table manners and road rules.
