The newly constructed mofussil bus stand on Mettupalayam Road opposite Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation headquarters is to be inaugurated on June 15.
The officials discussed the entry and exit of buses and traffic flow pattern to ensure smooth functioning.
They said the bus stand would considerably ease congestion within the city especially in Gandhipuram, Tatabad, Sivananda Colony and GP Theatre signal areas.
