ELGI Equipments Limited and Coimbatore-based Air Compressor Manufacturing Company celebrated the 38 {+t} {+h} World Environment Day.
Nalini, Assistant Environment Engineer of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB), conducted an awareness training programme and also planted saplings on the office premises at Singanallur.
Assistant General Manager of Plant Maintenance Balaji and Deivanayagam, Manager, spoke on conservation of resources.
Everest Industries Limited also launched a massive sapling plantation programme on their factory premises.
The employees planted around 200 saplings to mark the occasion.
ACC Limited employees also planted saplings on their campus to commemorate the occasion. The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board officials also distributed prizes to the employees who participated in various competitions.
